NOSEDIVE - ANDREU ROLDÁN
Nosedive is the first episode of the trird season of the british serie Black Mirror. It was released in 2016 in Netflix, it’s directed by Joe Wright and it has a duration of 63 minutes.
The episode is based on a world in wich people is qualified in the society depending on the likes and followers that have everyone in a common social media. It tells the story of Lacie Pound is the main character of the episode has a punctuation of 4.2 out of 5 and she’s looking to have a punctuation of 4.5 because if she want to have a discount on a apartament she must have that punctuation. One day he recieved a invitation of Naomi her childhood best friend for her wedding. She has to move to another city to arrive to the ceremony, once in the airport he doesn’t have the punctuation and he gets angry and in that moment she start losing a lot of punctuation, if she hadn’t had a bad behaviour with the people, they wouldn’t have given her a bad punctuation. In that moment she has a serious problem, if she doesn’t find another option of traveling, she will be late to the wedding. She decidet to arrive to the wedding anyway. Once at the wedding of Naomi (now she didn’t want Lacie in the ceremony), the people there, were surprised because she’s very dirty and tryes to do a crazy speech, finally the security of the wedding arrest her.
I find the episode quite unusual because for me it’s not like the normal TV series I watch. What I love about this episode is the big criticism to the unreal imortance that we give to the likes and followers in the different social medias that we use. If I hadn’t seen this chapter, I wouldn’t have known the big impact of technology in our lives.
I absolutely recommend this episode of the serie, if I were you, I would see it.
