NOSEDIVE- Adria Gonzalez


“Nosedive” is the first episode of the third season of the dystopian sci-fi series Black Mirror. Based on a story by Charlie Brooker, creator of the series. Directed by Joe Wright, released on October 21, 2016, through the Netflix platform.

The episode takes place in a world in which people can qualify and be rated by scores of one to five stars in each social interaction they make. Lacie, a young woman obsessed with her qualifications is chosen by a popular childhood friend as the bridesmaid of her future wedding. During the trip to attend the wedding Lacie has an argument with one of the workers in charge of customer service. After an argument her personal qualification begins to reduce quickly.

What I like best is the meaning behind the episode. I also like the resemblance that the episode has with reality and how they show it during the episode. The role of Lacie is brilliantly performed.

What I like least is that it is very long, and everything happens very slowly.

I recommend this episode because it shows a situation like the reality and can make you think. This film holds the spectator’s attention until the end.

Hello Amelia!, It was good to hear from you again, It's ages sience I've heared from you. I hope you and your family are well. How's it going? About the letter you have sent me, listen if  I were you i will opt to go to visit my brother  because girl, we're talking about your family and that you haven't seen him for a year, so  personally, I think that you should go to Australia because otherwise you will regret, I know it is a hard decision because you love being with the children but you can do that job another year instead I don't know if you can be another year without seeing your brother. Anyway, I must go and get on with my homework!
